About Aljazeera International Documentary Film Festival Categories:

The Aljazeera International Documentary Film Festival is restricted to documentary films only.

The Competitions are broadly classified as follows:

(I)The Main Competition: TV channels, production companies, cultural, social and media organizations as well as independent and experienced filmmakers may submit their entries under this competition which is further categorized as follows:

- Short Films Category (up to 29 min.)
- Medium Films Category (from 30 min. up to 59 min.)
- Long Films Category (more than 60 min.)

(II)The New Horizon Competition: is especially formulated for school students and directors with no prior experience.

(III)The Promising Films Competition: is created to motivate students from universities in Qatar to participate.
